The bottlings of the Swiss company won silver three times and gold once.
At the Swiss Spirits Review 2021, the Swiss Seven Seals won several awards with their whiskeys. You can find out more about their successes in their press release below. And if you want to find out more about the Seven Seals and their new finishing process, we recommend the Whiskeyexperts video interview with those responsible for Seven Seals Distillery AG.
Switzerland is known for a lot, Swiss Army Knives, cheese, mountains, but whiskey is still a very young category. It has only been legal to distill whisky in Switzerland since 1999, so it is not surprising that this is still a novelty in the Scots-dominated industry. At the Swiss Spirits Review 2021, the jury around Arthur Nägele, David T.Smith, Dom Roskrow, Toby Gorn, Rene van Hoven and numerous local Swiss jurors critically assessed all products in order to present the golden seal of approval only to the best whiskys and spirits .
However, it is all the more gratifying that the whiskys from the Swiss company “Seven Seals” once again won very high points in this competition. With their current special bottlings of the Zodiacs, Seven Seals Whiskey has won silver three times in the upper end and even gold with the mighty Wassermann "Aquarius". In the price announcement, Arthur Nägele and Marcel Telser comment on the whiskey with "intense smoke, powerful wood spice, playful wine notes, somewhat warming and full-bodied on the palate, peaty, elegant with a complex, long finish". So the perfect whisky for a barbecue evening with colleagues.
